I had a very enjoyable week at the Estelle Creative Arts Center. Spacious, light filled work space and comfortable, well appointed bedrooms upstairs. April Sproule is a great teacher, generously sharing knowledge and techniques in this mixed media textile workshop.

Was truly an amazing one of a kind experience!! I loved creating a modern quilt with Cindy Grisdela over a five day period. She was a fabulous teacher, thoughtful, kind and met you where you were on this improv journey. Plus, I loved the other people in my class. It was very collaborative. Jennifer Peterson has a wonderful vision for the Estelle Center for the Creative Arts. She is running a first class operation. I also really enjoyed staying in the Peter Max room upstairs. The food she provided was outstanding. La Veta is a darling town and an ideal place for the Estelle Center.

I always enjoy learning from a master art quilter! I learn new techniques and get a peek into how she approaches her art. I learned a lot from her lectures too. I also enjoyed getting to know Cindy on a personal level. What a sweet and interesting person.

Absolutely the best location for a retreat away from the busyness of city life, dipping into figure sculpting with a phenomenal instructor! Estelle Center for Creative Arts is a beautiful and peaceful retreat center, serving us delicious meals in a very clean environment allowing us to absorb the creative process. Maria Battista is a beautiful figure sculptor and truly a gifted teacher of this amazing art form!

I need to confess that if I had thought too hard about the logistics of a trip from Florida to Colorado, I wouldn't have signed up. Thankfully, I didn't. Daisy's class was one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done. Difficult, thought provoking, supportive. Every woman there was a wonderful addition to the energy! Daisy is a master educator! The Estelle Center is an amazing space. If I ever am fortunate enough to go back, It won't be in a car. And I would stay at the Estelle Center. Thanks, Jennifer and Sunshine, for a great opportunity!

I loved my room, Misty Meadow. It was bright with interesting antiques. It was immaculately clean and cool. It was quiet as well. Street parking as available in front of the center. The common bathroom was accessible, clean, and well stocked. The food was delicious, fresh, homemade. I enjoyed myself and would definitely stay here again if I come for another workshop.

"The Estelle Center is a great site with a fantastic staff. Everyone was so helpful. The ste is clean, comfortable with nice amenities and in a great little town. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Don’t stay at the inn next door. I rented a machine and really liked it. The kitchen staff are fantastic, better than any restaurant . Sunshine cannot be beat as an administrator and host. She is so fun and open and welcoming."

"Most of all lovely people and gracious hospitality. It was a pleasure to me Jennifer and Sunshine and Lance and Linda??. The venue was immaculate; my room was comfortable and bright. Thoughtful amenities in the common bathroom. The food was beautiful. I can imagine that for fabric artists who need to spread out their materials the open room is perfect. For writers and readers, a cozier space and some comfortable chairs would have been nice. I was glad to have the opportunity to visit La Veta and was impressed with the restaurants we visited. The course itself was okay. The prompts were good and there was plenty of time to write and read aloud. I think having more participants would have made it a livelier and more engaging experience."
